The estate of Chadwick Boseman, who died without a will, will be divided between his wife and parents.

In light of the fact that Chadwick Boseman died without a will, his parents and wife will split his $2.3 million wealth evenly.

Before Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016, he and Ledward had already begun seeing each other. Before he succumbed to the illness in August of 2020 at the age of 43, the couple tied the knot in a low-key ceremony.

In January 2021, an emotional Ledward paid tribute to her late husband at the Gotham Awards. There, he was honored with a posthumous tribute "in appreciation not only of his tremendous work but of his impact on this profession and this world."

While accepting the honor on her late partner's behalf, the widow said of her late husband, "He was able to give himself over fully in every moment." "He was able to be totally present in his own life and in the lives of people he became," she added. "He was able to give himself over fully in every moment."

"He was fortunate enough to live several lives inside the confines of his singular one.... He gained an awareness of what it means to be neither the none nor the one nor the all during this time. He described it as "a vessel to be poured into and poured out of." She came to the conclusion that "He tapped into the power of letting go and allowing God's love to show through."
