The driver of Jomoro MP was arrested for a traffic violation and for blocking a police officer.

A traffic violation and obstructing an officer from carrying out his duties led to the arrest of two people on the Spintex road: one was the personal driver of Jomoro MP Dorcas Affo-Toffey, and the other was a passenger in the vehicle.

When police tried to stop the MP's driver for driving in the middle of the road with the siren on, he reportedly refused to stop.

According to authorities, the MP who was in the car at the time told the driver not to stop when the policemen tried to halt them.

As the lawmaker's four-wheeled vehicle was pursued and forced to stop, the passenger in the front seat allegedly verbally attacked the arresting officer and impeded him from carrying out his duty.

Arrested, they were transferred to the Manet police station, where they were held for questioning and investigation.
