A court sentences a university senior to 8 months of toilet cleaning.

Instead of a custodial sentence, a final-year university student was fortunate to be sentenced to community service, which entails cleaning a toilet for eight months.

Amusa Oluwasegunfunmi, a Nigerian man, is a final-year student of Transport Planning Management at Tai Solarin University (TASUED), Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

He was convicted of fraudulent impersonation, according to pulse.ng.

Ajisafe Olaide, Lawal Morenikeji, Osuolale Abiodun, and Olamilekan Taofeek were also convicted.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the anti-corruption agency that prosecuted the convicts.

They pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them by the EFCC's Ibadan Zonal Command.

The judge also stated that the convict's attendance register from the beginning to the end of the eight-month sentence must be submitted to the court for inspection.

Nigeria’s EFCC appears to be cracking down on the activities of cyber-fraudsters in recent times.

Not long ago, the agency arrested no fewer than 30 people suspected to be internet fraudsters in Abuja.

It is reported that the suspects were all arrested in Lugbe and Kubwa suburbs of Abuja, following credible intelligence gathering.

After their arrest, a Mercedes Benz, Lexus, and Toyota cars, mobile phones, and laptop computers were recovered from the suspects.

In his ruling, Justice Ayo-Emmanuel of the Federal High Court in Osogbo, Osun State, ordered Oluwasegunfunmi to clean the toilets at the Ataoja School of Science in Osogbo for the next eight months.
