He was speaking on the topic of the economy in the context of the launch of the organization. In addition to this, he asked President Akufo-Addo to make significant changes to his government, one of which should be the dismissal of the country's present Finance Minister.

According to Mahama, this decision will provide the president with the opportunity to hire some of the most talented people in the country.design a comprehensive recovery plan for the economy.

“He [Akufo-Addo] should perform a big shakeup of his government to remove all the many dead woods that have turned the ministries into their kingdoms. Finally, he should gather with the brightest brains of this country to devise a comprehensive recovery strategy for our economy,” he concluded.

The former president added that it was apparent the present administration has “no realistic or credible plan of action to lift us out of the current economic doldrums into which they have plunged us”.
